- How to get your CRUR data
-
- "Center for Research of Unit
Records"
-
- Why would I want my CRUR data, well you may need it to
- show where you were during the 1990-1991 Gulf War.
-
- This file
was basically a unit locator of each unit recorded
-
every 24 hours of the war, from when your unit landed to
-
when it left.
-
- This is what my CRUR looks like:
- Page 1
- Page 2
- Page 3
- Page 4
- Page 5
-
- CRUR got its start in 1980 as the Agent Orange Task Force
- with the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Mission added
- in 1982, and the Desert Storm Task Force in 1992.
-
- DHSD still has the CRUR files for 1990-1991,
that
- information can be requested at BDM:
-
1-800-497-6261
-
Usually they have it, but about 30% of the time they
don't.
-
- The program changed over in 1994 to the CURR center
- which is a different operation than the Gulf War
program
- in place in 1991.
-
- If you want that information, send a letter to:
- U.S. Armed Services Center for
Unit Records Research
-
7798 Cissna Road Suite 101
Springfield, Virginia 22150-3197
-
