- CDC Chemical/Biological Meeting
- Atlanta,GA - Feb/March 1999
-
This would probably be the last time that the original Gulf
- War Community would be together in mass. There was
- alot of tension, many of the groups had grown apart.
The agenda was very difficult, and the time tables made
- many of us sick. Still, a job had to be done - and the
- whole collective effort was working farely well in such
- tight quarters.
-
-
The first day was introductions, and then from there would
- come the 4 independent workshops:
- PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
- ASSESSMENT AND DIAGNOSIS
- TREATMENT
- PREVENTION
-
-
A few like myself registered for all of them, and went
- nuts running between rooms.
- When the smoke cleared, we had a working model of
- what we wanted. Then the CDC would spend a year
- and a half transcripting 1,100 pages of material into their
- summary report.
-
Though the data was good, the government would forget
- this report, and make ludicrous statements that Gulf War
- veterans suffer from Somatoform ( making themselves
- sick by suggestion )..

the Veterans, Advocates, and so on...

less popular players...
