Summary:
The sad thing was the Gulf War veteran community actually
- showed up in mass, and was never given a fair chance.
Reuters stayed long enough to hear Dr. Charles Engle of
- Walter Reed Army Hospital say Somatization, and they
- bolted for the door to write their article. The morning was
- eaten up by some pretty bad testimony.
- That evening the veteran groups, advocates, and injured
- parties offered a pretty good rebuttal. Still, the IOM just
- commented on how powerless they were - leaving us to
- endure the nasty article from Reuters.
Safe to say, the Somatization term will not go unchallenged.
